Financial Accounting will provide knowledge of the underlying principles and concepts of financial accounting, accounting techniques and the preparation of basic financial statements.

By the end of syllabus, Students will be able to demonstrate a technical proficiency in the use of double-entry and accounting systems, and how to record, process and report business transactions. They will be able to understand the context and purpose of financial reporting and apply the qualitative characteristics of financial information. The students will gain knowledge on preparation of a trial balance (including identifying and correcting errors) and preparation of basic financial statements for incorporated and unincorporated entities including simple consolidated financial statements and its interpretation.
